Alfred Bersted Foundation awards Renz Center

ELGIN – Renz Addiction Counseling Center has received $20,000 from the Alfred Bersted Foundation in support of purchasing electronic medical record software. The software will allow Renz Center to maintain federal Health Care Reform Act compliance, provide health insurance billing compatibility, and offer many cost-saving efficiencies.

“The Alfred Bersted Foundation is a valued community partner,” said Renz Center’s Executive Director Jerry Skogmo, “and we appreciate the support they place on addiction treatment and prevention education. The new software will improve functionality and, in turn, benefit our clients.”

Renz Center provides a continuum of care dedicated to the prevention, intervention and treatment of addictive behaviors related to alcohol, drugs, and gambling. Services range from outpatient treatment programs for adolescents and adults to youth prevention education programs. The Center has offices located in St. Charles, Elgin, and Streamwood.
