Analysis: Bears end drama, sign Forte
CHICAGO – Now that Pro Bowl running back Matt Forte has signed a four-year contract extension, the Bears can focus on football.
Thank goodness.
The Bears avoided a season-long soap opera Monday when they signed Forte to an extension hours before the league deadline. The four-year deal reportedly is worth $32 million, or an average of $8 million a season, with about $18 million guaranteed.
