Bond increased to $1 million for sex assault suspect

WOODSTOCK – A Woodstock man apprehended in Missouri after police said he was en route to Mexico to flee sexual assault charges had his bond increased to $1 million on Monday.

Margarito Fabian, 49, was arrested in May and charged with multiple sex offenses, including four counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, a Class X felony. The charges date to 2007 and 2008, and involve a female family member younger than 13 years old, police said.

Fabian's bond was set at $100,000 and he posted the required 10 percent, or $10,000, Assistant State's Attorney David Metnick said.
