To the Editor:

I read an article recently about a retired judge who is suing over President Barack Obama’s health care law. I agree with him 100 percent. How does the president expect people who are retired, homeless and living on a thin line between poverty and the streets pay for health care? You can’t squeeze blood out of a turnip.

Why don’t all politicians cut their pay down to minimum wage and cut their health care the way Gov. Pat Quinn wants it? These overpaid politicians need to experience the same hardships that the rest of us are going through. I guarantee they would change their tune. People who are on Medicare have paid into it as they worked throughout their lives.
