Richmond Township to start brush pickpup

RICHMOND – Beginning in August, the Richmond Township Road District will start a brush pickup program for unincorporated areas of the township.

Residents will call the road district at 815-678-4144 to request the service in advance.

On the last weekend of each month, residents may place brush trimmings out for pickup the following Monday or Tuesday. The cut ends should point toward the edge of the property closest to the township roadway.

The road district will pick up and take the brush to the road district property for chipping, or at the resident's request, chip the trimmings at the resident's property for re-use.

For information, call the road district at 815-678-4144.
