Pasquale Gebbia, 62, of Wonder Lake takes his white 1979 Corvette with a red interior to cruise nights in McHenry, Ingleside, Richmond and Cary as a way to meet other car enthusiasts.

“It’s a lot of fun,” Gebbia said. “They talk to you about their cars and what they’ve done. It’s really neat to talk to people about cars.”

Cruise nights have become popular in the area as people show off the vehicles they keep in pristine condition. Car owners also can receive awards on theme nights, such as for having the best convertible.
