Beg to differ

To the Editor:

“You didn’t build that.” What is it about business that our president doesn’t get? Last weekend, President Barack Obama gave a speech in which he declared that entrepreneurs can’t make it on their own. He claims that government is what makes business work. That infrastructure, regulation and government “investment” is what makes business successful.

I beg to differ, Mr. President. America was built on the backs of men and women willing to put themselves all in. To risk everything they have and work long, hard hours to provide goods and services to the public in return for the chance to earn a living for themselves and their families.
