True gentleman

To the Editor:

With all of the random acts of violence coming out of Chicago, we thought you might be interested to know of a random act of kindness here in our own area.

On Friday the 13th (of course), my husband, Jack, and I attempted to deliver our car to a shop in Lake Zurich for work on the air conditioner. The story begins and ends with my getting lost, then Jack tried to go back home, so now I had lost my husband and our car. Not to be defeated I finally found our destination, but no husband and car. Our dog, Sir Pal II, and I shared a lunch, thinking he might show up. But he had driven as far back as Algonquin and become overheated.
