McHenry Co. coroner’s report details teens' fatal night
Boys, 16, died in rollover crash July 1
WOODSTOCK – Sixteen-year-olds Jacob Norys and Alec Kaiser met a friend in the parking lot of a Woodstock gas station.
They switched spots, with Kaiser getting behind the wheel. At one point, a Woodstock police officer in an unmarked squad car pulled in and talked to one of the boys. He asked whether he was old enough to be smoking and then the officer drove away.
That was shortly before 2 a.m. July 1.
