CRYSTAL LAKE – Star 105.5 will broadcast a 36-hour radiothon to benefit Turning Point, McHenry County’s domestic violence agency and shelter.

The station will broadcast from the parking lot of Sam’s Club, 5670 Northwest Highway, Crystal Lake, from 6 a.m. Aug. 10 until 6 p.m. Aug. 11. Donors can make their donation in person or online at www.mchenrycountyturningpoint.org.

The annual event usually involves more than 100 volunteers. Interested community members can call Jennifer Kenning at Turning Point, 815-338-8081, to schedule a time to volunteer during the event. Individuals, families and business or community groups are welcome to sign up.
