Huntley asks residents to cut back on water use
HUNTLEY – The village is asking residents to observe additional voluntary water conservation measures as McHenry County’s drought status has been upgraded to “severe.”
The national forecast through October indicates that drought conditions will persist in the area, according to a village news release.
Water use restrictions in the village remain code “yellow,” which means odd-even watering based on address and limited to 6 to 9 a.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. However, conditions may require moving to code “red,” which prohibits all outside water use, according to the release.
