Child sex case nets six years in prison

WOODSTOCK – A Crystal Lake man with several cases pending was sentenced Monday to six years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a young girl in 2003.

Andrew J. Looman, 24, had faced up to 30 years for the Class X felony. According to the criminal complaint, he performed sex acts on a girl younger than 9 years old.

The remainder of the charges against him were dropped as part of the negotiated plea accepted by Judge Sharon Prather.
