Cooling center open at Elgin Community College
ELGIN – Anticipating more high temperatures, Elgin Community College is opening Building K (multipurpose classroom building) as a community cooling center today and Wednesday.
Building K is near Renner and Hoffer drives on the Spartan Drive Campus, 1700 Spartan Drive.
The cooling center will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days. Although ECC is an approved Federal Emergency Management Agency shelter location, there will be no overnight accommodations available.
