Lakemoor standoff ends peacefully
LAKEMOOR – A more than two-hour standoff ended peacefully Saturday night after police responded to a report of a man barricaded in his Lakemoor home, according to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies were called about 9:30 p.m. to assist Lakemoor police with a suicidal man armed with a handgun at his home on the 500 block of Santa Barbara Road, Undersheriff Andrew Zinke said.
Deputies were able to take the man into custody without incident, Zinke said.
