CARY – The Veterans Network Committee, Fifth Third Bank - Cary, and Wool Street Grill & Sports Bar have partnered to raise funds to send six World War II veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit the WWII Memorial.

The veterans will depart 9:30 a.m. Friday from Fifth Third Bank, 750 Northwest Highway, Cary.

Randy Granath, president of the Veterans Network Committee of Northern Illinois, will serve as an escort. Seeing the memorial “is always a moving experience," Granath said. "I am looking forward to experiencing it once again.”
