Hoping for rain, Harvard keeps eye on water supply
HARVARD – City officials are closely monitoring water levels in the town’s three working water wells and at the same time doing “rain dances” for more precipitation this week.
Water levels appear to be normal, or at least high enough not to cause alarm. But with the county in a severe drought as of last week’s U.S. Drought Monitor report, officials are keeping a close watch on the water supply.
About 1˝ inches of rain fell on the city early Tuesday, city officials reported.
