MARENGO – City officials have scheduled a brush pickup for Thursday and Friday in the wake of storms that ripped through McHenry County recently.

Residents should have their loose brush placed along the public parkways before Thursday to ensure pickup. Curbside brush collection is available only Thursday and Friday. Residents also can drop off their brush at the Waste Water Treatment plant, 1350 N. State St., from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Heavy rain and high winds rolled across the county last week, leaving 120,000 ComEd customers in the western suburbs without power. A Tuesday morning storm also left thousands without electricity.
