Mercy to get another chance to make its case for Crystal Lake hospital
BOLINGBROOK – State regulators granted Mercy Health System a second chance to make its case for a $115 million hospital in Crystal Lake, hours after the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board approved a permit for Centegra Health System to build a $233 million hospital in Huntley.
Mercy officials were relieved to get another opportunity, officials said.
“We’re going to take everything one step at a time,” Mercy Vice President Rich Gruber said.
