Myers goes from worst to almost 1st
CHICAGO – Brett Myers’ baseball world has been flipped upside down.
Thanks to Saturday’s trade, Myers went from the worst team in the majors, the Houston Astros, to the White Sox, who sit one game back of first-place Detroit. In his 11th big league season Myers, 31, doesn’t want to waste the opportunity to contend for a title.
“You hate to leave your teammates that you’ve had for the last couple years behind, but when you’re going to a winning team you’re going to make new teammates and friends,” Myers said. “It’s always a lot more fun when you’re winning.”
