Eagle caps Jean’s win

PRAIRIE GROVE – Emily Jean’s irons were working in her favor all day at the MCJGA Prairie Isle Open, but none was better than her last shot.

The Cary-Grove sophomore eagled the final hole of the front nine at Prairie Isle Golf Club to win the girls junior division with a 3-over-par 40.

“I hit a really good drive, and I was about 150 yards out from the pin and I hit one of my best irons of the day,” Jean said. “It went perfectly straight. It was about six inches to the hole.”
