To the Editor:

Last week, President Barack Obama said, “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” As a business owner, I find this to be clear evidence that he does not understand our economy or what drives it.

My company, Keystone Display, employs more than 60 people. In addition to the wages and benefits earned by our employees, we contribute to the regional economy by purchasing materials and services. Our employees pay taxes on their earnings, our shareholders pay taxes on our profits, our company pays taxes on our real estate.
