A Crystal Lake man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Walkup Road in unincorporated Nunda Township, according to the Bull Valley Police Department.

A vehicle was traveling south on Walkup Road near Crystal Springs Road around 4:30 a.m. when the driver struck one of two pedestrians walking in the roadway, police Detective Paul McNamara said. The motorist was traveling at the posted speed limit or slightly below due to early morning rainfall.

Abraham Silva was taken to Centegra Hospital – McHenry in critical condition.
