Need more courtesy

In response to “Hurried drivers” (It’s Your Write, July 22).

Amen. Lately, I also have noticed the same driving behavior. We as voters have put representatives into office to make laws and rules. These rules are in place to protect everyone involved in a public activity, i.e. operating a motor vehicle.

Why we can’t all obey the rules of the road is beyond me. I feel the one thing that is lacking in today’s society is simple courtesy. Being courteous of the people around you will in turn bring courtesy back to you. Why is it, though, that most drivers don’t see that?
