Protect retirees
To the Editor:
July 30th is the anniversary of the Medicaid and Medicare law. With the Supreme Court upholding the Affordable Care Act, the subject of Medicaid is front and center as each state legislature and governor will have to decide whether to expand Medicaid programs to their residents.
Some are concerned about expanding Medicaid because of budgets. However, there is a bill in Congress to protect taxpayers from having to assume the tab for millions of people’s health care.
