Pedestrian hit, killed by train in Belleville

BELLEVILLE – Police in Belleville say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train.

Authorities haven't yet publicly identified the person killed Friday morning. The Norfolk Southern train consisted of two locomotives and 33 cars.

The westbound train was bound for Kansas City, Mo., from Knoxville, Tenn.
