American patriot
To the Editor:
Early on July 12, we all lost a great friend, a genuine American patriot, a devoted family man and quintessential citizen.
Anton P. Rebel, the Marine’s Marine, served most honorably with the 4th Marine Division in the Marshall Islands, Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima campaigns earning a Bronze Star, two Purple Hearts and numerous other awards, citations and recognitions. He personified all that we celebrate in the American spirit, psyche and legacy.
