Bank's 'cash mob' Aug. 8 at Brandt's Pharmacy
MARENGO – Prairie Community Bank, 800 W. Grant Highway, Marengo, is organizing its second "cash mob."
A "cash mob" is a variation of a "flash mob." But instead of dancing in the street, people come together to shop at a local business.
The "cash mob" target at 6:45 p.m. on Aug. 8 is Brandt's Pharmacy, 101 N State St., Marengo.
The event is open to people who want to support and encourage local spending, and comes just in time to purchase school supplies.
