CARY – District 26 is planning to put together a strategic plan outlining its vision, mission and goals to guide the district through the next few years.

The school board Monday approved hiring SHR Consulting, Inc. to guide the district in developing the plan. The cost is not to exceed $6,000 and can take anywhere from seven to 11 meetings, according to school district documents.

Putting together a strategic plan will include a steering committee that will comprise school board members, district administrators, building administrators, teachers, support staff, community engagement committee members, community members, members of parent-teacher organizations, and Cary District 26 Foundation board members.
