Charges come from underage party
RICHMOND – Seven people were arrested following an underage drinking party over the weekend, police say.
About 11:50 p.m. Friday, members of the McHenry County Sheriff's Office saw a suspicious vehicle in the 8400 block of Tryon Grove Road near Richmond and made contact with two males inside.
They said they were trying to meet up with others at an area home, where deputies found several people hiding. The female host, a juvenile, said she was related to the property owner and was given permission to be there, but deputies determined that she and the others did not.
Joseph G. Dierkes, 18, of Hebron was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana.
Six others were charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor: Coty W. Lusk, 19, of Wonder Lake; Dennis P. Kucia, 19, of Genoa City, Wis.; Michael B. Palmer, 18, of Genoa City, an underage girl from McHenry, an underage girl from Twin Lakes, Wis., and an underage male from Hebron.
Parents came to the home and took custody of their juvenile children.
