New ‘Hardest Hit’ program offers help to avoid foreclosure

I want to tell you all about a federal program that may just help you avoid foreclosure until things start to look a little better.

I work as a cashier and so I get a lot of information from my customers. I heard about this mortgage help program from one of them. It’s called Illinois Hardest Hit. The federal government can help you with your mortgage if you suffered a 25 percent or more income loss in the past year or so.

You need a credit counseling agency to help you apply. The one my customer used was   Consumer Credit Counseling Service at 400 Russel Court in Woodstock. Their phone number is 815-338-5757. They have a team of counselors who have lots of experience at doing this and are very savvy about it.
