Road work ramps up; expect delays
Motorists can expect delays as three Illinois Department of Transportation pavement-patching projects get under way.
Improvements begin today on Route 14 between Bunker Hill Road and the Wisconsin state line in Harvard; Route 23 from Route 176 to Route 14 in Marengo; and Route 176 from Route 47 to Route 14 in Woodstock.
The $1.1 million in projects will reduce roads to single-lane traffic with flaggers present during the daytime hours.
