Several McHenry County postmasters retiring
Not much has changed at the Hebron Post Office in the last 55 years – other than the price of a stamp.
Art Latham was Hebron postmaster for 27 years, retiring in 1983. His successor, Dan Guttschow, 63, retired Tuesday after 28 years on the job.
Postal clerk Lori Plane of Harvard worked with Guttschow for 22 years. "His retirement is very well deserved," Plane said. "It's very sad to see him go."
