To the Editor:

If you think that being a public employee and working for the state of Illinois is a glorious job, think again. I was a state employee for almost three years, and it was the worst job I have ever had.

I worked in the automotive industry for 15-plus years and went back because my job for the state was, simply put, horrible. The office manager did not know how to do her job. It was obvious that she didn’t know how to handle a budget because she lost several full-time employees but never put any of her part-time employees in a full-time position.
