County Fair vendors endure long hours
WOODSTOCK – It’s a hot Monday afternoon and Teri Palmer is on a ladder adding signage to her food vending booth in preparation for the McHenry County Fair.
She’s been out here since early this morning with her husband, Bill, with whom she started Alligator Cator five years ago. Earlier this morning, as the clock snuck past midnight, the couple was back in Grayslake cleaning up from a successful Lake County Fair weekend. No rest for the weary.
“You’d think we’d kind of have more free time, but I don’t know,” Teri said, turning to Bill. “Do we have more free time?”
