Man arrested after removing GPS monitor

RINGWOOD – A man out on bond in a Cook County case faces a new charge after police say he took off his GPS monitor.

Robert G. Gardner, 42, of 6356 N. Indian Road, Chicago, was required to wear the monitor while his case is pending for allegedly violated an order of protection.

At about 8 a.m. Wednesday, a Cook County probation officer contacted the McHenry County Sheriff's Office and said Gardner had removed the monitor.
