Liriano makes Sox home debut

CHICAGO – Left-hander Francisco Liriano starts his first game at U.S. Cellular Field since the White Sox acquired him last week.

Liriano (3-10, 5.18 ERA) allowed two runs on four hits in six innings during his first start for the Sox at Minnesota. Liriano has an opportunity to help the Sox win their fourth straight series and fifth consecutive at home.

The Sox have won 11 of their last 13 home games, outscoring opponents 89-48. Their bullpen has been a large part of their success recently. The bullpen owns a 1.06 ERA in the past 12 games.

Right-hander Dan Haren (8-8, 4.59) starts for the Angels.
