Rev Jackson: U.S. Rep son has no plans to retire
CHICAGO – The Rev. Jesse Jackson said his son has no plans to step down from the U.S. House, but offered no timeline for the Chicago Democrat's recovery.
The civil rights leader said he's visited Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
The younger Jackson has been seeking medical treatment since June 10. His wife, Alderman Sandi Jackson, told the Chicago Sun-Times that he collapsed that day and has since been "debilitated by depression."
