The McHenry City Council denied Fox River Flea Market the required conditional permit by a 5-2 vote at Monday night’s meeting.
In May, the city issued a temporary permit allowing the business to display merchandise outside along the east side of the building, 3017 W. Route 120, on weekends from June 2 to Aug. 5.
