Multicar accident on Bull Valley Road injures 3

McHENRY – Three residents were injured Monday morning in a four-vehicle accident on Bull Valley Road, authorities said.

Traffic was backed up eastbound near the intersection of Ridgeview Drive about 7:30 a.m. when a vehicle rear-ended a motorist who was stopped in the area, McHenry police Sgt. Robert Lumber said.

That caused the vehicle to strike another vehicle, which caused that vehicle to hit a fourth car.

Three people were taken to Centegra Hospital – McHenry with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The roadway in that area was shut down for about 45 minutes.

The investigation is ongoing.
