Stevenson: Jager’s career is just taking off
Everyone was wondering what Evan Jager could do in the 3,000-meter steeplechase finals Sunday in the Olympic Games.
Could he compete against the world’s greatest runners? Could he come home from London with a medal? Maybe even gold?
Anything seemed possible. Jager had run times comparable to everyone else in the finals, he was just a little short on experience, having run the race only six times before Sunday.
