WOODSTOCK – The Environmental Defenders of McHenry County will conduct a recycling collection from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Farm Bureau parking lot, 1102 McConnell Road, Woodstock.

On Jan. 1, it became illegal to dispose of unwanted electronics in the regular trash. Discarded electronics must be taken to a registered recycler

Electronics, including computers, monitors, keyboards, scanners, fax machines, clean microwaves and just about anything with a cord or batteries are accepted at the Defenders' monthly drives. TVs and computer monitors will be accepted for a donation of $10 to $35.
