Huntley man dies in boating accident on Ind. lake

A Huntley man died Sunday in a boating accident on a northwest Indiana lake, according to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Law Enforcement.

Roger Martin, 61, was riding on the front of a boat when two passengers being pulled behind on tubes fell off, according to Indiana conservation police Cpl. Ashlee Jackson.

Martin fell overboard while sitting on the edge of the boat as the driver attempted to turn around and pick up the tubers, according to the Marshall County Coroner’s Office. The rear of the boat ran him over and the propeller struck him.
