Living History Open House set for Powers-Walker House

RINGWOOD – County residents can step back in time to the 1850s and World War I at McHenry County Conservation District’s Living History Open House from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Glacial Park’s Powers-Walker House, 6201 Harts Road, Ringwood.

Participants can tour the restored Greek revival house circa 1854 and learn about the Powers and Walker families that called this area home.

Volunteers in historical attire will answer questions, lead tours and demonstrate skills appropriate to the season.
