New foreclosure filings drop in county
McHenry County foreclosures tumbled in July, according to RealtyTrac's Foreclosure Market Report.
One of every 220 housing units received a foreclosure filing in July 2012, compared to one of every 164 the previous month.
Kane County's foreclosure rate was one in every 254 homes. Lake County's rate was one in every 217. Statewide, RealtyTrac's report shows one in every 686 housing units with a foreclosure filing during the month.
