Authorities investigate early morning fire near Johnsburg

No on was injured during an early morning fire that left a home uninhabitable and destroyed two vehicles in unincorporated McHenry County, according to authorities.

Members of the McHenry Township Fire Protection District were called to the 5100 block of Westwood Drive near Johnsburg for a report of a structure fire at around 4:45 a.m.

Firefighters arrived to find two vehicles in the driveway completely engulfed in flames with the fire extending to the garage of a home in that area, according to deputy fire chief Rudy Horist.
