Driver sentenced in golf cart DUI
WOODSTOCK – A Wonder Lake man was sentenced to a year and a half of supervision for driving a golf cart while drunk, which police said led to his friend being airlifted to a hospital.
Bradlee McDow, 27, previously pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. On Thursday, his attorney and prosecutors agreed to the sentence of supervision, as well as 100 hours of public service and DUI treatment. McDow also must attend a victim impact panel.
On Oct. 2, McDow was driving the golf cart east on Evergreen Drive and turned onto northbound Pleasure Avenue, according to McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. When he turned, James Clem fell off the side and hit his head on the pavement.
