The much-anticipated grand opening of the first such fast-food restaurant in Crystal Lake was Thursday morning.

On-and-off rain throughout the day didn’t seem to affect business, nor did the national debate over same-sex marriage that Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy recently stirred up in talking about his Christian values. People said they just wanted their food.
