Algonquin launches
website with new features

ALGONQUIN – The village has launched a new website with a new design – “a more effective communication tool to better connect the community to village news and events,” it said in a news release.

Page hits on the village’s website have grown to more than 300,000 a month from about 50,000 a month in 2006.

The new website includes RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds that allow visitors to subscribe to news feeds and receive real-time notification of content. It has integrated social media applications so visitors can share content on social media accounts, the village said.
