Racket Club will host state championships

ALGONQUIN – The summer is usually a slow time for an indoor tennis facility such as the Crystal Lake Park District’s Racket Club. But things are really going to pick up this weekend.

For the first time, the club will host the United States Tennis Association’s League Illinois State Championships.

“It’s a real honor and privilege to hold this event,” racket club manager Rob Laue said. “We’re always looking for ways to become more known in the tennis community. We’re hoping this puts us more on the map.”
