Turning Point radiothon under way

“Take a Stand for Turning Point,” a 36-hour radiothon is under way. Presented by WZSR-FM Star 105.5, the event is held to raise funds and awareness for the local domestic violence agency and shelter. The radiothon runs through 6 p.m. Saturday at Sam’s Club in Crystal Lake.

The event includes a Family Movie Under the Stars showing of “The Incredibles” at dusk Friday and a Family Fun Time from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, with games, prizes and activities for kids of all ages.
There also will be a used-clothing drive throughout the event.
